History of the Institute

The Punjabi University Baba Dhian Dass Neighborhood Campus Jhunir is named after the religious saint "BABA DHIAN DASS" of area Jhunir. The Campus was established on September 26, 2005 and was inaugurated by Padam Shri Sardar Swarn Singh Boparai (Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University Patiala). The Punjabi University Baba Dhian Dass Neighbourhood Campus, Jhunir is the Campus of Punjabi University Patiala.

The new building of Punjabi University Baba Dhian Dass Neighbourhood Campus, Jhunir was inaugurated by our former Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University Dr. Jaspal Singh on 28 September 2010. The new building of the campus has four story building which consists of modern class rooms, well equipped fully furnished seminar hall, air-conditioned computer laboratory having high speed internet. The Campus play big role to improve and enforce Quality education in rural area. The students of this campus are working in Multi-National Companies. The Campus is dedicated to produce expert professionals in Computers Science, Commerce and Management. The success of this Campus can be seen by the results of the students which give us proof that students of villages can also top in academics as well as in the extracurricular activities in Punjab and their good placements in reputed organizations. Many students of MBA have topped in all the prevalent neighborhood campuses of Punjabi University, Patiala.

The Beautiful Campus has huge building in about 70 acres. Baba Dhyan Dass Neighborhood Campus opens its door to youngsters, who aspire to become a success index of future managerial breed, to join the MBA (2 year), BCA (3 year), B.Com (3 year), PGDCA (1 year), of this Institute, which provides high quality technology education in the Malwa region of Punjab. It has a unique distinction of providing professional education in the fields of Commerce, Management and Computer Sciences. The campus is vast and well planned. Punjabi university has prepared this campus with the latest and modern equipments in the computer lab, seminar hall, library, class rooms etc.
