University College, Benra-Dhuri is one of the unique colleges situated at royal district Sangrur on the historical land of Punjab established under 11th plan of University Grants Commission, planning to educate rural & remote area people. It is situated on Sangrur-Ludhiana highway which occupies modern technique and was built with the help of donated land by panchayat of village Benra. With the profound co-operation of state government as well as Punjabi University, Patiala, the college has started successfully in 2016-2017 academic year. Experienced and skilled staff was appointed by Punjabi university, Patiala to provide quality education to all students.

People of this area desired that their children should get higher education in their own region, which was fulfilled after the opening of this college, providing economical and higher quality education as compared to private colleges of this area. This college is developing by leaps and bounds. Under the guidance of Punjabi university, Patiala and with creative thinking of the staff, this college is progressing towards newer stands of development. The only mission of this college is to create students that serve humanity, give society educated citizens, great sports-persons and hope to lead our society in various fields of development.

Experienced staff and modern infrastructure with high tech laboratories, gigantic library and well e-quipped sports kits and tools are assigned for the overall development of students.

ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਮਾਲਵਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਮਕਬੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਧੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੇਨੜ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਪੰਜ ਏਕੜ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਬੇਨੜ੍ਹਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2016-17 ਤੋਂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਬੇਨੜ੍ਹਾ-ਧੂਰੀ (ਸੰਗਰੂਰ) ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ-ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹਾਈਵੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਮਾਲਵਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਢੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਉੱਭਰੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਚ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੀ.ਏ., ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ., ਬੀ.ਸੀ.ਏ., ਬੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ. (ਨਾਨ-ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ), ਐੱਮ.ਏ. ਹਿਸਟਰੀ, ਐੱਮ.ਕਾਮ. ਅਤੇ ਐੱਮ.ਏ. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡ ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਐੱਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ. ਯੂਨਿਟ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀ, ਰੈੱਡ ਰਿਬਨ ਕਲੱਬ, ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਸੈੱਲ ਵੀ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ। ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿਆ ਭਰਿਆ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਛਾਂਦਾਰ, ਫਲਦਾਰ ਮੌਸਮੀ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੁਥਰਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੁਥਰੇ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਮਰੇ ਹਨ।

ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2022-23 ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਸ਼ੁੱਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹਾਂ। ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2022-23 ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
