M.Sc. students are attached to various central/state Forensic Science Labs (CFSLs/FSLs) and Institutes for at-least for15 days in their respective specialized areas to be exposed to real time crime case evidences.
During their stay, they learn about the opening of real cases received in the lab, examination and presentation of evidences in the court of law from experts in the field

Infrastructure
ICT Classrooms-
The Department is equipped with 02 (two) ICT enabled smart classrooms with seating capacity of 25 to 50 person(s).

Department is conducting seminars of students every week to build confidence to deliver and defend themselves in the court of law as they are required to give expert evidence in court and face questions from defense counsel.

Departmental library
The Department has its own library facility with access to up-to-date books, journals and research projects.
Cyber and Computer Laboratory-
This Laboratory is equipped with 10 (ten) computer systems. The department is continuously working for providing better facilities to the students. Wi-Fi facility allows students to learn online and prepare assignments, presentations, dissertation report with the help of books and journals.

Forensic Science Society
- Forensic Science society was established with the aim of providing a platform for curricular and extra-curricular activities and to properly channelize the energy of the students.
- The membership of the society is obligatory for all M.Sc. students, research scholars and staff members.
- All the members contribute to run the activities of the society.
- The affairs of the society are managed by student- secretary under the guidance and supervision of teacher in-charge and president of Forensic Science Society.
- The activities of the society include organization of departmental sports, cultural programmes, seminars etc.
Environment Consciousness
- Energy conservation - It is common practice at our department that maximum output with minimum energy consumption.
- Waste management – we store and dispose off our e-waste and chemical waste through the standard university level procedure.
- Motivational lectures by faculty – members regularly delivered lectures to students of college and schools on environmental issues (water harvesting, tree plantation, etc).
